FINDING THE PERFECT WEDDING HAIR!

The wedding dress is half the battle.  After the dress, your hair sets the mood for your big day.  Up and formal? Loose and romantic? And what about colour?

You're going to have those photos for a very long time - make sure you get it right. Here are three major factors when choosing a new look:

1) Your Skin Color AND Tones

When it comes to choosing a hair color, an experienced colorist will look at the color of your skin AND the underlying tones.

Some skin has too warm a tone to suit blonde hair, some skin is so pale that any hair colour darker than light brown results in a vampire look and red hair atop a face prone to blotchiness will bring those red patches and pimples into the spotlight.

Be honest with yourself in terms of maintenance too. If you’re going several shades lighter or darker with your hair color or get streaks or panels, are you going to have the time and money to maintain the look?

2) The Shape of Your Face

Good stylists say there’s a reason they ignore us when we say “I just LOVE Jennifer Aniston's Sedu hairstyle or Eva Longoria’s or Renee Zellweiger’s latest do. I want my hair like that!” Not every hairstyle looks good on every face.

The shape of your face and what features you want to emphasize should be a major factor in the hairstyle you select. Do you want to draw attention away from your character nose? Do you want to highlight your eyes and draw attention away from your forceful jaw? Do you have a long, graceful neck?
